Founder

Our understanding of healthcare is limited to reaction and problem-solving. It needs to be more preventive and focused on creating well-being.

Shraddha Shah founded Synapsium Brain Health Clinic to provide superior clinical, psychological and neuropsychological services to adults and the elderly in 2013. The Classroom, a Synapsium Initiative was introduced in 2018 to address the need for creating awareness and negating mental health stigma in our community.

She discovered her passion for the workings of the human brain while completing her Bachelors in Neuroscience in New York and then pursued a Master’s degree in Psychology in Mumbai. She continued her training in Neuropsychology at KEM Hospital, Mumbai and is currently, a PhD Scholar conducting research in the area of Positive Neuropsychology.

Ms. Shah strives to bring newer therapies of neuropsychological rehabilitation through continued learning from international faculty and training experiences such as, at the Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation, New York.

Apart from her extensive work at Synapsium, she is also a Consultant at Sir HN Reliance hospital and Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai. She also enjoys teaches neurocognition to Masters students at the S.N.D.T. University.

Ms. Shah has presented her research at Conferences such as, the prestigious annual Epilepsy Conference and Indian Conference of NeuroRehab. Her research won the “Best Poster” award at the Indian Conference of NeuroRehabilitation in 2016 and 2017.

Ms. Shah is a fellow of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists, Indian Federation of NeuroRehabilitation, World Federation of NeuroRehabilitation, Indian Epilepsy Society, Indian Epilepsy Association and the Bombay Neuroscience Association.

Ms. Shah is passionate, creative and a person of many talents. Her interests include photographing human interactions, studying philosophy, and exploring novel experiences and places. The practice of mindfulness meditation and Vipassana have facilitated her journey of self-discovery and helped her find meaningful purpose in life. She has always loved animals and volunteer work has taken up a lot of her early adult life.
