Format: Self-paced | Audio-visual + Reading material | Certificate Course
Modules: 5 + Resources
Includes Quizzes and Downloadable Resources

As India’s population ages, psychologists must be equipped to understand the nuanced changes in brain health, behavior, and caregiving needs of older adults. Dementia & Geropsychology: From Theory to Clinical Application is a rigorous, self-paced online course designed to bridge the gap between foundational knowledge and applied clinical skills in aging and dementia care.
This course offers a comprehensive overview of the neuropsychological, emotional, and functional aspects of aging, grounded in the latest research from geropsychology, dementia science, and simplified functional neuroanatomy. Through 5 core modules, learners will explore the differences between normal cognitive aging and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and major neurocognitive disorders, diagnostic frameworks, caregiver burden, and evidence-based non-pharmacological interventions.

Learn from India’s leading expert in memory care and mental wellness

Course Creator’s Background:
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist with 14 years of experience, Dr. Shraddha Shah’s expertise spans various areas of neuropsychology including dementia evaluations and care, sleep neuropsychology, and neuropsychological rehabilitation. She trained at KEM hospital in Mumbai, India after her formal education in Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology.
Her clinical experience includes consulting at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre as well as Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital while simultaneously running her own brain health center with a team of psychologists where they have catered to the brain health needs of more than 4000 individuals and families.
As part of her teaching commitments, she has taught ‘Neurocognition’ as a semester-long course to over 500 Master’s in Psychology students at SNDT University along with multiple guest lectures across universities in Mumbai and Pune [Sophia College, St. Xavier’s University, RD National College, SK Somaiya College, FLAME University].
At the heart of her work is a commitment to advancing geriatric brain health. A strong belief rooted in all her ventures is that education should not be limited to conventional academic courses rather it should create collective change, destigmatize neurocognitive disorders and shift how society views aging.
Whether it’s building programs that support mental health and aging, or consulting on the script of a Filmfare award-winning Marathi film about life after dementia, her aim has always been the same: to educate in ways that heal, empower, and transform.
This course is an extension of that mission.

“This dementia care training gave me practical tools tailored to Indian household realities, communication strategies, environment adaptations, and evidence‑based behavioural techniques that made support feel achievable. Now I feel empowered and equipped to provide compassionate, culturally attuned care with resilience and dignity.”

Pragati G, Mumbai

Mansi P, Aurangabad

“The course modules were well-structured, with a strong emphasis on clinical applications in the Indian context. The unique blend of self-paced learning and intensive discussions that follow at the end of the week, supported by case studies and live examples feeds the key components and crux of the material deep in one’s mind. I’m becoming a better clinician since joining her and the curated program.”
